WEEK TEN: GROUP BRAINSTORM SESSION

Claim - An employer looking for a person with "good problem solving skills" is looking for someone with common sense and analytical skills.
Reason – Having analytical skills is being able to break down a problem and understanding material and evidence. Common sense is natural and innate and sometimes learned through life experience by being observant and perceptive, which gives you “street smarts” and makes a person able to apply analytical skills to any situation.
Warrant – The fact that they compliment each other means that you need both to have good problem solving skills.

  2. Grounds; It is important for an employee to have both analtyitcal skills and common sense for problem solving strategics.Anaylitcal skills help brake down certain information into detail which helps you get a better understanding. Common sense are skills that are mostly natural or learned through experience.
Backing.; these skills are both important to have because together they produce the best problem solving. They both complement each other and an employer would be best off with someone who has both.
Rebutal; The con to this is that having both skills can lead to confusion. An employee can use common sense when they should be analyzing the situation and vice versa. Some situations may only call for one or the other.
Backing; This can lead to frustration in the work place and also make the boss skeptical of the work you are producing. you must be able to distinguish between the two skills.
